Fundations and Sight Words

We have been enjoying our new program that introduces letters and sounds to the children.  So far we have learned how to write the lowercase letters t, b, f, m and n.  We can recognize those letters and know the sound that they make.  Keep practicing them with your child.

Popcorn words came home.  The words that are in the bag will be kept  all year.  The more your child sees them, the easier it will be to read them by sight.  Keep practicing them.  One idea is to make your own color chart by writing the color words in the matching color marker.  When your child reads the popcorn word, they can use the chart to help.
